Winner of the 2009 ADNZ National Executive Award and Regional Roof Design Award
“A double winner at the 2009 ADNZ Awards, this residence was praised for providing a remarkably simple solution to a complex plan on a site with many restrictions and complications.”
Organised around an open plan kitchen – the owners’ designated hub for the house, each of the residence’s wings was planned to capitalise on solar gain whilst offering optimized views. Contemporary in style, the house oozes Central Otago character thanks to the use of schist stone, cedar bevel-back weatherboards and other traditional materials. Classic skirting, architrave and scotia detailing combined with custom tongue and groove joinery work to create a timeless feel.
