Excellence in architecture

Our plan requirements were rather complicated with high specifications. What really impressed us was Steve Humpherson's integrity, attention to detail, imagination, design flair, patience and razor-edge memory. Nothing was too much of a bother either to research or re-draw. His ability to really listen to our requests meant that he was able to design us a house which works extremely well for all members of the family.

We are indeed very happy clients and have only the best of praise for the professional that Steve is.

From a folder of photographs showing our likes and dislikes, Steve designed a holiday home which we liked so much it became our main residence. We were impressed with Steve's ability to listen and interpret our ideas and requirements into an award winning family home.

With great use of natural materials interpreting the Central Otago style, strong design elements and attention to detail Steve delivered us a wonderful home which we love. We enjoyed working with Steve so much we commissioned him for our commercial venture, Urban Grind, a contemporary, rustic café and bar in down town Wanaka. Steve created an interesting and workable space over two levels within an existing footprint.

Steve from Sorted Architecture was thorough in his design brief with respect to our build.  He spent time with our family and gained an understanding of features that worked well in our existing home that we wanted to ensure were transferred to our new home.  He also was instrumental in assisting us through our resource consent process.  

To this day we consider Steve a friend and would highly recommend him to any potential new home builders.

Sorted Architecture’s design input was invaluable in optimizing the space we had. Their ideas for remodelling the terrace which now features a retractable roof and blinds, have resulted in an outdoor dining room that is a major asset to the restaurant.  Throughout this extensive renovation which he oversaw down to the light fittings, Steve Humpherson was a pleasure to work with.

As part of a complete house renovation, Sorted Architecture did an excellent job at answering my brief for a dream kitchen. The new open plan kitchen ticks all the boxes, with proportions and joinery details that make it both functional and beautiful.

Thanks to Jan and her natural instinct for interior design our place is coming together really nicely with good balance and style. Window seat and cushions are the ladies best choice award throughout. Massive choice. Thanks.
